Landowners and agricultural businesses

Land that generates little today can produce income for thirty years

We source farmland and industrial sites suitable for solar plants. The outcome of the assessment is reported either way, positive or negative: it is free and carries no obligation.

Two routes

There are two routes

Most chosen

Surface rights — ownership does not change

The owner grants use of the surface for a defined period, typically 20 to 30 years. We build and operate the plant, paying an annual fee.

At the end of the term the land returns to the owner's full disposal. Ownership never changes hands.

Sale — a clean exit

For owners who prefer to realise the value in one go, we assess an outright purchase of the site.

Which route makes more sense depends on the location, the hectares and the available grid capacity. We discuss it after the assessment, with numbers in hand.

What we look for

What kind of land we look for

Farmland

Including land already under cultivation: with agrivoltaics, farming can continue.

Industrial sites

Disused or underused.

Disused quarries

Sites that have exhausted their original function.

Closed landfills

Sites already capped and remediated.

Land close to a substation

Proximity to the grid matters more than people expect.

All of Italy

We operate nationwide, with a particularly strong presence in the south.

It is not only about hectares: location, planning constraints and above all nearby grid capacity decide it. A small, well-connected plot beats a large isolated one.

The assessment

What is required from the owner: almost nothing

Tell us where it is

Municipality and province, and roughly how many hectares. Land registry details help but are not needed to start.

We do the checking

We review the location, the planning constraints and the grid capacity available nearby. That is the technical part, and it is ours.

The outcome

If the land is suitable we set out on what terms and under which of the two routes. If it is not, we say so and that is the end of it. No cost and no commitment, either way.

Agrivoltaics

"So I can't farm it any more?"

It is the first thing people ask, and it is a fair question.

With agrivoltaics the panels sit high and spaced apart: cultivation continues underneath and around. The land stays agricultural and generates energy as well.

Not every crop is equally compatible, and that is one of the things we check before proposing anything.

Agrivoltaic canopies above crops

The questions we get most often

The fee depends on the hectares, the location and the capacity the plant can actually deliver. It is not a number anyone can give sight unseen: we give it after the assessment, which is free.

Under surface rights, yes — ownership never changes hands. The owner grants use of the surface for the agreed term and the land returns to their full disposal at the end.

There is no fixed threshold, because grid connection matters more than surface area. A modest plot near a substation can work better than a far larger, isolated one.

No. It is free and carries no obligation. If the land is not suitable we say so, and that is the end of it.

We do. The owner does not front the development costs.

It depends on the existing agreement. It is one of the things we look at together: it comes up often, and there is almost always a workable route.

The assessment takes a few days. If the land qualifies, what follows depends on regional permitting: we estimate it case by case, without empty promises.

Tell us where it is. We'll handle the rest.

The municipality and a rough figure for the hectares are enough. The answer comes back straight, either way.

Free assessment. No commitment.
